Very sadly, I have to inform you that I have had to withdraw from the Virgin London Marathon 2011 due to ill health.  I'm very frustrated and cross about this as I view my fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support very seriously.  My intention, however, is to come back fitter, stronger and faster than before and be able to do something rather spectacular for Macmillan as soon as I'm able to.

Even though I won't be running the marathon, you can still make a donation here if you want to help Macmillan care for people living with cancer and I promise that your money WILL make a difference.

Since I ran the Virgin London Marathon last year for Macmillan Cancer Support, approximately 298,000 people in the UK have been told they have cancer. Perhaps your life, or someone you love, has been affected too.

I've seen the wonderful work that Macmillan has done to help people living with cancer.. and I’ve also seen what cancer can do.  It's taken family and friends away from me... people I loved very much and miss every single day.

   

I know it's a lot to ask and I know everyone is trying to cut costs this year but I also know how many of you have lost family and friends to cancer and that you'd do anything to have them back... help me to help other people like us who are trying to beat cancer.
