Hellooooo!
This page is to raise money for a charity I am going out to Uganda with this
summer called Bristol-Bweyale Action Project.
Here is some info about the charity:
Bristol-Bweyale Action Project is a student-run registered charity working in
Bweyale, Uganda. This district received hundreds of internally displaced people
who settled here when fleeing the war and rebels in Northern Uganda. The
district is now safe since the end of the war in 2005 but is still dreadfully
overcroweded, meaning that its schools are filled to capacity with under-trained
teachers and a significant lack of resources.
For the last four years, B-BAP has sent volunteers to work in schools in Bweyale for
a month to teach lessons, run activities and play games and sport to remind
children, some of whom were child soldiers, what it is like to be a child again.
We administer the charity and organise the projects ourselves. We are self-funded
and all the money we have raised goes towards teaching materials, sports
equipment and a fund for future building projects in Bweyale.
In order to raise money I took part in the Bath Half Marathon last month and will
be running in the Bristol 10K on May the 10th as well as hopefully completing a
sponsored bike ride across France in June.
Any sponsorship or donations to the charity would be really wonderful and make
such a difference to these childrens lives.
Thank you very much!

P.s. here's the blurb about how justgiving.com works:
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bristol-Bweyale Action Project gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
