<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.</p> <p>We're raising money for Aghunan, a sloth bear, who has been rescued from a life of cruelty as one of India's 'dancing bears' by International Animal Rescue.</p> <p>He is one of many bears now living in IAR's sanctuaries who really need our help.</p> <p>These poor bears have lived lives of misery - captured from the wild, beaten, mutilated and made to dance.</p> <p>Thankfully they have now been rescued but IAR needs to raise as much as possible to care for these bears for the rest of their lives. It costs &pound;1000 per year to look after one bear.</p> <p>We will be raising the funds for Aghunan's care for the next year.</p> <p>Aghunan is very wary of other bears. He expresses his fear by blowing in the air and spitting. He does have some friends though who are Ram, Akki and Sundari. He is friendly towards humans and is fond of his keepers, following them all around the enclosure. He is also a very good eater!</p> <p>Amongst other events, Neil will be taking part in the 'Kamikaze Cross Country Run' on 13th March 2011.
