I finished!! The pain is gently easing away, and the satisfaction that I completed the marathon is now dawning on me. I did eventually complete it in 5 hours and 22 minutes. I was hoping for under 5hours, but it was hard work, and the queue for the pit stop really didn't help but needs must. The support was amazing and running past the sights of London with a great mass of people is incredible. To anyone thinking or tempted - go for it! Remember its not too late to make your donation...... You may be aware that this charity has a special meaning to me as both my Dad and late Father in Law , Ron, had Prostate Cancer , which is why I chose to run for it through my ballot place. All donations made, whatever size keep me going in my training, particularly during the early morning training runs and especially now as the day gets nearer.
