Sylvia's Star is tribute fund in memory of our amazing mother, Sylvia, who we lost in 2012 to Familial Alzheimer's disease. Familial Alzheimer's is a very rare form of Dementia that effects less than 1% of all known cases of Dementia. Familial Alzheimer's is passed on genetically through generations of the same family, meaning every living member has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease. We started Sylvia's Star in 2012 with the hope to help other people living with Dementia.
