I'm hoping to run in four half marathons this year starting with the Bath Half on March 16, then onto Plymouth in May, Bristol in September and Cardiff in October.

I'm raising money for a small charity which helps and supports people with the neurological disorder Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA).

As many of you will know my mum Pamela fought this condition bravely and with immense dignity for many years before her death in 1992. This is for her.

We've never exactly been a family built for sporting prowess but your support at any of the runs will make me feel like Paula Radcliffe, even if it is only for a fleeting moment!

** Quick update: Completed the Bath Half Marathon in 2 hrs 12 mins yesterday. Trainers have given up the ghost but thankfully the legs carried me through the last arduous three miles.

Bring on the 'Muff half on May 25!

** Another quick update - I'll be wearing a Cardiff City shirt around the course in Plymouth - apologies in advance fellow janners! I'm donning said item in order to get more sponsorship money - see below. See you on the streets of the 'Muff!

** Christ Plymouth was hard! The hills were my undoing and I posted an official time of 2hrs 14mins. Plenty to work on for Bristol. Also - no comments about the Bluebirds shirt - janners obviously only care for the team in green!

** Bristol update - fab weather, marvellous course and pleased with the time - 2hrs, 5mins - excellent improvement on the 'muff! Bring on the 'Diff!
