On 5th July 2010 myself and an international group of very lovely people set off to walk 84 miles over 6 days to raise money for The Joseph Salmon Trust. The Trust provides financial support to parents who lose a child and was formed by close friends of my friends Dan and Kerry, Joseph and Rachael Salmon, when they tragically lost their little boy Joseph to a sudden illness.
Your donations could help provide a headstone, cover certain funeral costs or allow a self-employed parent to do what they need to do without the added concern of lost earnings.
My bottom is smaller, I have ost two toe nails to blisters, and currently have to lift my leg manually when getting in and out of the car, but the pain is worth it to help the Salmons to help other parents in memory of their gorgeous little boy. It's been a privilege to take part and I've met a bunch of fantastic people. You can help by donating here, and we're also running a raffle which you can find details of on my blog. There are fabulous prizes including a holiday, a very cool HP printer and a Fortnum and Masons hamper.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
