People always think it’s hilarious when I say am going to be running in a race - I don’t know why - but I had the last laugh last year when I came stomping home in front of Paula Radcliffe (well nearly).
On a serious note, whilst working as a psychiatric nurse I saw how devastating dementia can be for the whole family. Caring for a friend or family member with Alzheimer’s disease is no joke. That’s why this is the third year that I and my friends are running for the Alzheimer’s Society.
