SPONSORED FAMINE FOR GHANA PROJECT MERIDIAN 08

Hi Folks,

Thanks for visiting our online fundraising page. As you probably know, I am heavily involved in Scouting and especially with scouting in Hohoe, a town in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa. This came about through meeting a Ghanaian leader at an International Camp in Scotland way back in 1992.

This summer, I will be leading an expedition of some 44 scouts and leaders  to Hohoe, to build a scout hall/community centre. We are raising funds for the purchase of the land, building materials, shipping the goods etc.. Our scouts, working with local scouts, will build the scout hall/community centre. The centre's prime role will be for the scouts, but will in addition be available to the local community.

Our next fundraising event is a sponsored 24-hour famine on 9/10 February 2008.

Please sponsor me for this event and help to give the youngsters from Harpenden and Hohoe a life changing experience.

All donations, however small will make a difference and I can assure you that every penny donated will go to Hohoe. Your donation will be increased via Gift Aid for UK taxpayers.

Many thanks for your support,

Jo Busby
