Story
We've joined together to raise 1.1 million Philippine Pesos between now and the 9th of November, the one year anniversary of Super-Typhoon Yolanda. Although huge progress has been made, 31,000 of those affected by the typhoon still go to bed each night in tents or without adequate housing. With 1.1 million pesos (US$25,188.92), one peso for every house that was destroyed, we can construct nine new homes and strengthen the communities in which they are built. To kick off this campaign, 37 of us are joining a run taking place in Tacloban City.
We want to raise the first 120,000 pesos, which is enough money to build a new house for a family who had their home destroyed in Barangay 83-C. I'm aiming to raise at LEAST 4000 pesos towards that total.
Give up a cup of coffee and instead help a family in need. Even $1 donation will help!
