Story
On Sunday the 15th August 2010, Claire Chedzoy and Jody Foy will be competing in the inaugural Challenge Copenhagen Triathlon. This is a long distance triathlon, consisting of a 2.4 mile sea swim, a 112 mile cycle followed by a 26.2 mile run.
A grand total of 140.6 miles without stopping!
In order to give them some added incentive to complete what is bound to be a tough day, they are raising some money for the George Thomas Hospice Care.
We are looking for any donation you might be able to give to a very special cause, the George Thomas Hospice Care.
This is a charity that provides palliative care, reducing the severity of disease symptoms rather than striving to halt, delay, or reverse progression of the disease itself or provide a cure. The goal is to prevent and relieve suffering and to improve quality of life for people facing serious, complex illness
It is close to our hearts, a very good friend and wonderful person Angela Chamberlain only 30 years old is suffering from terminal cancer and the George Thomas Hospice Care is provided her with amazing care and support.
Angela has this to say about the George Thomas Hospice Care 'I have recently been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and am receiving care from George Thomas Hospice in Cardiff. It has been a tough time but the care I am receiving is amazing. The team of doctors, nurses, and many more make life that bit easier and they are are so caring and dedicated to the patients. Thank you George Thomas! Please give generously!'
So as you can see this is a very worthy cause that is close to our hearts, Please, Please give generously!
