Hi I'm Joe Rosselli a 17 year old from Nottingham. So far in my life I have visited Africa on two separate occasions once in South Africa and once in Ghana. In my time in Africa I have been struck by the poverty and injustice that there is and I have a real passion in my heart to stand up and say that enough is enough and make a difference. Therefore I have planned to go to Uganda for 9 months from October 2012 to July 2012 to do voluntary work through a gap year organisation called Smile International. Whilst I am there I will be doing work such as teaching children, marking children's school work, sports, music and art activites, supporting the local church, visiting hospitals/hospices and the slums and manual work such as digging, laying tiles, painting etc.
To do this I have to raise £4950 I am doing events such as a half marathon (Sept 11), supermarket bag packing, car washes and working in my own time to gain funds.
Half marathon now completed !!! in a time of 1 hour 44 minutes and 6 seconds :) sadly im paying for it now as my legs are in agony !
So please donate and help me get to Uganda and really make a difference to peoples lives!
