I am running the Edinburgh Marathon(26.2 miles) on 25th May 2008. The reason I am running this race is in memory of my wife - Anna Attridge who died on 22nd February 2006 after eight months with terminal cancer. She was an incredible lady who never complained or moaned. It is hard to take in that almost two years has passed, but my wife will never be forgotten I have so many great memories to look back on, I sometimes feel ( I know it sounds strange to some of you) that she is just in another room and we will meet up again one day. The reason I have chosen the North London Hospice as my chosen Charity is the fact that they looked after Anna during her last two weeks of life, as well as providing support prior to this. I saw first hand how caring the staff are and supportive of all patients and family. It certainly opened my eyes to the fact that hospices are essential to the community as they provide specialist care. The North London Hospice also provides palliative care. What suprised me is that the Hospice services they provide are free, and they get little funding from the Goverment. So I would please ask you to sponsor me so that terminally ill patients like my wife Anna can be looked after, and benifit from the care and support my wife enjoyed. The donations they receive will make patients more comfortable and help them in their hour of need. Many Thanks for your support. Joe. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: North London Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
