In September 2009 I will take part in an ultra marathon cycle challenge – Race Around Ireland - which will test endurance, strength and mental toughness. I am determined to finish the toughest, and most gruelling cycling event ever to be held in Ireland.
The Race Around Ireland is a time trial consisting of 1350 miles of open roads, non stop and over some of ’s largest mountains taking in magnificent scenery and passing some of Ireland's most famous landmarks. With Elite riders finishing in four days and the event cut off point at 120 hours this poised to be the toughest challenge intoday. The event will circumnavigate the costal line of anti - clockways starting in Navan Co Meath on Tue 15th Sept and finishing back in Navan at some point o the Sunday for the top riders.
