'Joe and Co's Big Charity Cycle 2007'

Thanks for donating to the 'Joe and Co's Big Charity Cycle 2007' Justgiving fund.  The cycle ride is the main fundraiser for my Raleigh International project in Malaysia (see below).  Both of my teams are aiming to complete the 1400km unsupported in 10-12 days, which will require a high level of fitness, indomitable spirit and jelly babies.  Please support us by donating what you can.

What am I doing?  On October 2nd 2007, I am going to Malaysia for 10 weeks to take part in a Raleigh International project.  Whilst in Malaysia I will be working on projects that benefit the local community.  This is not a holiday!  I will be living in basic conditions, eating basic food whilst doing lots of manual labour.  Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising target.

Why am I doing this?  I want to help people more than I can financially afford to.  Working on the project will also give me an opportunity to work with young people whilst exposing me to different cultures.  This I hope, will benefit my future teaching career.

Where will my donation go?  By Donating you are making the lives of Malaysian children better whilst helping Raleigh to support troubled and needing children closer to home.  Recent Raleigh projects in Malaysia have included the building of schools and securing safe water supplies. 

YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR ME TO GO!!!  By reaching my fundraising target I will be accepted onto the program.  I then have to pay for my flights, equipment and vaccinations myself.
