Story
On the 19th of May I started a massive cycle challenge that took me form Coventry to Amsterdam and back. I arrived back successfully competing the challenge on the 26th (a week later). During the week I cycled 520 miles, got lost a lot, had many punctures and cycled through Amsterdam at rush hour. But around 57 of us made it the whole way. This included people of varying levels of fitness age and gender. The week was massively challenging but rewarding as well seeing many people including myself push through and achieve things they never expected. I also had a little crash when i arrived back in coventry that saw me have to be taken to hospital to get my ear sticked rather than celebrate arriving back. There are pictures of this on the page.
I am so thankful to everyone who has sponsored me so far, but I am so close to my target that I don't want to stop now. I love Nexus so much and want to help them achieve all there plans for the future and this involves raising as much money as I can.
There reason I subjected myself to this is because around 13-15% of the budget of Nexus needs to be raised through Charitable giving. Without this large amount of money the course will not be able to run next year. I have had an amazing time here and although I will not be here next year I have a real heart for this place and desire for as many people to experience what I have. Also there are a few exciting new ideas beging to take shape, including starting a new college in South Africa and a beging a media course. If you want to know more about Nexus or the cycle feel free to email me and I will let you know. I love this place and will be happy to talk to anyone about how it has shaped my life.
