I am studying the guitar course at Nexus.
Nexus is a vocational music college based in Coventry which trains Christian musicians from the UK and abroad in contemporary music and biblical studies. Students study a one or two year course following which they return to churches all over the world equipped to serve with high-level musical skills and lives transformed by God.

Rag Week
is all about raising money for Nexus to grow and expand in the things
of God.
Rag week is coming up very soon. We're going to do the following events:
ABC
Challenge
(The one I will do)
Teams of
4-5 who compete against each other in a race to cycle from Cities
starting with A to Z. The team will strategise before they leave and
plan their own route, deciding on the Cities they'll hit.
Run
Britain
Teams of
4-5 (with a driver) will run the width of Britain, starting from
Coventry to Aberystwyth. The team will strategise before leaving,
deciding on whether they run through the night etc. and each member
will run 5miles at a time before passing 'the baton' on to the next
member. When the other 3 members have run their 5miles the driver
will drop them off at their destination and they will do the next
5miles etc.
Musical
Written
around the theme of Motown, the challenge is to write, rehearse and
produce a musical within the time limit of a week.
Drumathon
Touring
Drumathon. The drummers will drum for 24hours in one destination,
then spend the next 12 hours resting and travelling to the next
destination at which they will set up and play another 24hrs etc.
They are going to do 5 24 hour drumathons!
Busking
Teams of
3 will compete against each other to see who can cross the greatest
linear distance in a week with their funds coming simply from the
money they raise from Busking at various destinations.
