Story

Hello people, and thanks for visiting my fundraising page (you get extra special thanks if you also donate some money, if that is any encouragement)! I have set the fundraising target at £1000 but the further we can get past that the better.

Bridging the Gap (Across Africa) is a brilliant charity set up to support the advancement of education for young people in Africa. Working in Kumba since January, I have been able to see the big difference that this charity has made to the schools I am working with. I have been lucky enough to be a part of setting up a library at Diligent Bilingual School (DBS - nursery and primary school), organising donations of books and equipment to Diligent Bilingual Academy (DBA - secondary school) and the development of DiBCIT, Diligent Establishments' own computer centre. These are just some examples of the vital work that Bridging the Gap does here, but they need our help in order to offer more of what is needed.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bridging the Gap (Across Africa) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

It is the children of today and tomorrow who are Africa's future, so it is vital that they get the support they need to receive a decent education. Working here has showed me how much we take education for granted, when it is really worth its meta-physical weight in gold. Education is the vital ingredient to help Africa develop and improve its current situation, so please, let's help make each child's steps - along what is currently a difficult road - that little bit easier.

Many, many thanks for your support.
