Story
We are World Record Holders!!
We are proud to tell you that the Drumathon team managed to defy the odds to go beyond the record of 60 hours. We drummed for a total of 66 hours from 9am Sunday 1 May to Wednesday 4 May at 3am. 15 of the 17 drummers broke the record and the other two did an amazing job but were forced to pull out.
The event was very hard mentally. None of us knew how weird it was going to be not sleeping for 3 days but it took it's toll. People were hallucinating and falling asleep at their drum kits, it was lucky we had people going around spraying cold water in our faces to keep us awake!
We really saw the work of God in these 66 hours and there is no way we could have achieved something so huge without His strength. Also as far as I know no one has suffered any serious health issues from the event so we can also be very thankful for that. Thank you so much for all your prayers.
Through Justgiving is the best way to give your donation. They do take a small percentage but it saves Nexus hiring an accountant to manage the money and claim 'GiftAid'. If you are a UK tax payer please include your full name, address and postcode and choose to 'GifAid' your donation because it means an extra 28p is added to every £1 you donate!
Thanks again to everyone for your support, prayers and encouragement,
Joe and the Drumathon Team
