Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Firstly, a massive thank you for taking the time to visit this page! This year on the 5th of October I ran the Loch Ness Marathon in Support of the Parkinson's Disease society in 3hrs and 57mins. Thank you to everone who donated for their support. This page will remain live until January 2009 for anyone who still wishes to donate.

120,000 people suffer from the disease in the UK, including someone very close to me. At present, the condition is not curable and becomes harder to manage with time. What's more, 10,000 people are newly diagnosed every year, so the need for more research funding has never been greater.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me - Parkinson's Disease Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you again,

Joe
