Johns parachute jump · 17 October 2016

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I am fast approaching my 80th Birthday in January.

With this in mind I have decided to complete a parachute jump, having met an ex soldier who parachuted into Germany in the Second World War. He has given me the inspiration to find out whether I have the inner strength to complete the jump, although this would only represent a fraction of the strength and courage displayed by all young men that have defended Queen and Country.

I would like to take advantage of the occasion and hopefully raise some money for a charity close to my heart - Alzheimer's Society.

I like many others have witnessed the impact this disease has on loved ones.

I shall be making the jump from a small airfield near Lancaster with the Black Knights parachute team on or before the 17th October 2016.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
