Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have wanted to do this great walk   Wainwrights Memorial Walk    ever since I first heard of it a couple of years ago. Its an eleven day circular walk in the Lake District which includes climbing or getting very good views of just about every peak in the Lake District. It is about 110 miles in length although some overnight places are a bt of the course so a few extra miles there.  I just can't wait to get going!

I am starting from Windermere in early May  using a walking tour company Best Treks  to arrange accomadation and baggage forwarding. Other than that I am on my own.

I will visit  Ill Bell,  High Street, Angle Tarn,Patterdale, Striding Edge,Helvellyn, Sharp Edge, Blencathra,  Buttermere, Red Pike, Haystacks, Green Gable, Pillar, Windy Gap, Scoat Fell, Wasdale,Scafell Pike, The Langdales, Pick of Stickle, Harrisons Stickle amongst many others.   I get to stay in some nice places overnight as well.

This walk brings together just about every place I have ever been to in the lakes. I have had so many good times here  I am really looking forward to the walk.

Now as to my choice of Charity--   Operation Smile is a children's charity treating facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates all around the world.  I have always thought that small children with facial disgiurements need all our help.
