John Gentle  - a long-term supporter of St George's Crypt in Leeds and veteran marathon runner - invites all Crypt supporters and friends to support him as he embarks on another fund raising venture for the Crypt, which has been providing care and support for homeless and disadvantaged people for 80 years.

John is tackling a "walk-jog-run" from Ripon Cathedral to Leeds, finishing at the Crypt. This marathon event is on Saturday, 5th June and his route will be via Knaresborough and Harrogate. This is a daunting task as John is 75.

The event is part of National Family Week - John is particularly keen to support the development of closer family relationships and reconciliation. A number of Crypt service users have experienced family breakdown - money raised will be used to help residents from the Crypt's Faith Lodge hostel for people recovering from alcohol dependency.

Thanks so much for your support - it means a lot!
