I am taking part in a 5 day cycling trip. This starts on the Mediterranean coast in France and ending on the Atlantic coast in Spain in San sebastian.

We will be taking in a number of famous climbs including the Col du Tourmalet. This is a 19km climb with an average gradient of 7.5%

The total distance of over 700km with nearly 9000meters of climbing makes this a reasonable stretch of the legs. In addition if enough people support me I am going to ride a bicycle that I have built myself. By this I mean that I have cut and welded the frame together and then built the bike up from scratch. The bike is heavier than my carbon race bike but it will provide more of a challenge and a good test of my welding skills.

I am obviously paying for all expenses related to the trip so every penny of your donation will be going to the Bridge2aid charity. 

I will provide a blog of my endeavour to all who wish to follow the event.
