Yay! Thanks for coming this far! This year I'm doing some things for the hospital...In April I almost made it to Everest base camp on the most difficult trek I've ever done, I reached 5000 metres despite being ill. Binay sent me down. We paid for our trips and contributed to the charity that way. We also went to the DCWC hospital in the remote Kavre district and realised just how far away from town it is....!!!!!!!  over 6 hrs on a dirt track from Katmandu and the small building is the only medical provision for the whole region... The hospital has taken shape quickly...take a look here...  http://www.dcwcnepal.org/Hospital_Opening_September_2010.html

I really want to help by raising some more funds for the good work DCWC are doing, After Nepal I have climbed 159 Lakeland mountains in forty days and done another 3 peaks challenge to finish up.

I hope to raise as much sponsorship as I can because the hospital is already fulfilling some real and surprisingly basic needs, even before it is finished and fully staffed. (A few quid will buy dressings and antibiotics while larger donations will make a real difference to the equipment installed or go towards paying some of the expenses of the volunteer staff that need to be recruited. So please think about what you can afford to help with the work some really fine people are doing. Even a small amount from everyone would be great, it all adds up to something really useful..

Thanks, and all the best,            John x
