At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

San2San

On November the 6th, I will be setting off with a bike and three friends from San Jose, Costa Rica, in an attempt to cycle to San Salvador, El Salvador, in just ten days. Why? Since completing the B2B a couple of years ago (Budapest to Bucharest) we've developed a taste for challenges with stupid names - recently under our belts are the P2P (Peckham to Paris) and the B2D (Belfast to Dublin). The A2B is surely just around the corner, but in the meantime, the San2San will have to do.

The challenge will require cycling 1000km across 4 countries in just 10 days, battling the local wildlife, the mountain ranges, the language, and possibly a military coup.

Please have a look at our website, www.san2san.co.uk, for more details.

We have planned, organised and funded the entire trip ourselves, and hopefully it will be not only very tough but also very rewarding. Im hoping to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, a fantastic organisation that helps those afflicted by this debilitating and distressing disease. I would be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me for my journey.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for your support.
