Running a marathon is always demanding and it gets harder as one gets older!  so I need your support and encouragement to get me through the training as well as the day itself. This time I'm really looking forward to the additional challenge of raising money for a fantastic charity. The Brooke not only works to ease the suffering of hard-working horses and donkeys, it helps their owners too who depend completely on their animals to earn a living. The average cost of treating a sick, lame or injured animal is just £7.50. I'm aiming at raising £1000 which would pay the salary of a Brooke vet for 3 months.
