Story
Thank you for taking time to check out our fundraising page.
In the spirit of John-Henry's profound connection with all things wild, we've decided to honour the memory of this great man with an outdoor adventure that we know he would have loved. The John Muir Trail is a 211-mile hike through the high wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, at elevations of above 10,000 ft for most of its length.
For those who knew John well, you will know that he was never happier than when he was engaging in some physical challenge that brought him closer to nature, whether it be rucking in a muddy field with a bunch of equally sweaty men or be stripping down to his underwear to plunge into an icy pool in the middle of the winter. For us, a great adventure in the wilderness is the perfect way to celebrate his memory and we hope that you can support us with a contribution to the John-Henry Memorial Fund, which donates to a number of charitable causes that John himself felt strongly about.
For those who did not have the pleasure of getting to know John-Henry personally we encourage you to read more about his life and the purpose of the John-Henry Memorial Fund at the following site: http://www.johnhenrymf.org/.

Many thanks,
