Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thank you for visiting my online fundraising page.

After playing football in the English Premiership and working for Tyne Tees Television and ESPN as a football pundit I have decided to set myself a new challenge. I will be joining the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK on their newest fundraising venture, Project Brazil, for which Brian Barwick and the PFA have already kindly sponsored me £1000.

I will be setting off to rural Brazil to help fellow participants renovate a local community school and build a football pitch. This project will not only enable children and adults to be educated at home, rather than being obliged to move away, but it will also raise vital funds to help tackle bowel cancer.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support, John Beresford and the Bobby Moore Fund
