In my recent experience, diabetes sucks. Today's research can help save future youngsters from the unpleasant daily routine and crushing complications that type I diabetes presents.

The last time I ran 26.2 miles I had a fully functioning pancreas.  No more.  But that doesn't mean I won't set a new personal best in my first running of the New York Marathon.

I hope that you will donate as much as you can.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  Please note, however, that since the JDRF is a UK organization, donations are made in GBP, *not* US dollars.  At time of writing, one GBP is approximately $2.

Finally, don't forget to check my progress on race day!

Cheers!  My many sincere thanks.

UPDATE!

The marathon went really well on Sunday, and I did set a personal best of 3:49:51.  Sure, it's only a record by a minute and 33 seconds, but that is a whopping 3 1/2 seconds per mile.  Still nothing?  Well, fine.
