My story

As you may be aware this year I am running the Rotterdam marathon on April the 13th to raise money for Jacob Marsland. Jacob has a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma, which needs specialist treatment. Despite undergoing intensive chemotherapy Jacob has not responded to his treatment in the UK, and may soon need to receive pioneering treatment in the USA. Jacob’s family are trying desperately to raise funds for his future treatment as this will cost a minimum of £250,000 and may now be his only chance of survival.

The 2Simple Trust helps families of children suffering from neuroblastoma. Help is given by the provision of financial assistance for treatment and other needs as well as the funding of research into the disease. This work will shortly be transferred to a new charity set up specifically for the purpose and called The Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance.
