In May John is going to spend two weeks backpacking 206 miles across Scotland, coast to coast. He will be self sufficient, carrying all his supplies and equipment and it will be physically challenging – ascending 10,317 metres (1,467 higher than Everest!). On the plus side there’ll be no phone calls, no cars and no nagging wife! We are hoping to raise money for Downs Ed, a charity that has provided us with much practical support and advice for Tom, based on their extensive research and experience. With your help we would like to contribute towards further research, particularly towards the education of children with Down syndrome.
