As some of you may know, my good friend David 'Scoffer' Gardner is flying out to Sudan to work for the aid organisation MEDAIR for the next year. MEDAIR brings life-saving relief and rehabilitation in disasters, conflict areas, and other crises by working alongside the most vulnerable. I feel that this is a fantastic and hugely admirable act on Davids part, but to those of us who know him it certainly isn't a surprise.

For my part I would like to try and support David in his work by raising much needed funding for this charity.

I have been training hard for the past number of months in order to take part in the Vancouver Half Ironman. This is a triathlon event consisting of a Swim (1.9km) Cycle (93km) and a Run (21km).

As i only did my very first triathlon last weekend this will be a huge challenge to me but one that I feel will be very worth it.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and thankyou to everyone for their brilliant support.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Medair gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
