MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - The walk was completed in 23 hours 55minutes on a sunny day in Deal! Please tell your friends that the site is remaining open for a while. My sore feet must be worth a few pounds...
We are sad to tell you that friends of ours lost their ten year old granddaughter on New Years Eve, after a brave fight against a brain tumour.
It is difficult to envisage anything positive in a situation such as this. I have decided to do a 'walk' in aid of Hammer Out. The aim is to raise money to allow some children with a brain tumour to spend a little quality time with their family (probably by the seaside).
In 'THE LONG WALK HOME', I will attempt to walk a mile for every year of my life - 62 in total - in twenty four hours. This distance is not guaranteed, but I am determined!
