Seni Extreme 200 Mile Marathon · 5 May 2007

Since 1987 Scannappeal has raised over £19m for life saving and life changing medical equipment for hospitals in Bucks, particularly for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. Every 10 minutes a patient in the local area is diagnosed or treated with equipment funded by Scannappeal.

                       The HURT Appeal

          EQUIPMENT TO HELP CHILDREN IN PAIN

    At noon on May 17th 2007, 12 amazing athletes from five country`s will set off on the 200 Mile Seni-Ultra Marathon, UK`s longest and toughest footrace. The Seni is a non-stop race that will take 60 hours of running for the competitors to cover nearly eight marathons. Competitors will have their own support crews. The race starts In Dudley, their route will follow canals, footpaths and national trails to finish at the Excel arena London Docklands.

   I will be taking part in the Seni helping raise the last £25,000 of the £125,00 target needed for childrewith the help of the children from The John Hampden School Wendover.

The HURT Appeal raises funds for dedicated equipment to provide a local service for the sickest and most vulnerable babies and children. Around 1,000 babies and children each year will benifit from this equipment which will be based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
