Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be. Your donation will help vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.

Story

In June 2009, I will be taking part in a trek to raise money for Save the Children.

The trek will take place in the Ladakh region of the Himalayas inNorthern Indiaat an average altitude of 4,500 metres. We will also visit a Save the Children project at Leh.

Needless to say I need to get in shape and the training has already started with

cycling to work - see photo!

Save the Children fund is the world’s independent children’s charity. Its focus is providing proper healthcare, food, education and protection for children around the world. Children are our future and anything which helps to break the poverty cycle is a worthwhile and sustainable initiative.

Please give generously. All donations are tax deductible.

Your support is greatly appreciated. - Many thanks John
