Charity Registration No. 220949 (England and Wales) and Scotland (SC037738)
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.
It seems a long time ago that my (now ex) mates Con O'Brien and Jeremy Barker 'persuaded' me to enter for the marathon on behalf of the British Red Cross. After a rather unpleasant telephone interview (trust me recruiters dont like being interviewed themselves), I was offered a place to run for them on April 26th. That's the good news.
The bad news is that it takes a lot of training (especially this time of year) and motivation - its been a slow start in that respect but as the clock is well and truly ticking, I have reluctantly now begun the severe training programme.
I am delighted to be running on behalf the British Red Cross - they do awesome work in supporting people in the UK and overseas with both large scale emergencies and more individual ones. I am proud to support this vital work that they do.
Donating through Just giving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Just giving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Your sponsorship is very much appreciated.
Good luck with the training. I'm sure keeping up with Kate every day will be good preparation! Best of luck.Donation by Gareth & Barbara
