<p>We are the only national charity solely dedicated to fighting loneliness and acute isolation in old age. We organise regular, monthly tea parties on a Sunday afternoon in the homes of our volunteers across the UK. These outings are a ray of light in the lives of older people living alone; giving them something to look forward to in the knowledge that someone cares and the opportunity to make new and lasting friendships with fellow guests and our volunteers. </p> <p>Contact the Elderly is a registered charity in England and Wales (244681) and in Scotland (SC039377) </p>

On Wednesday 29th April at 10.30am a team of Partners from John Lewis Direct will be pulling their 1.5 tonne Luton van 1.2miles along King's Road and then 1.2miles back again in aid of Contact the Elderly.
