CLAPA is the national UK charity supporting people affected by cleft lip and palate. We provide specialist feeding equipment, trusted information, one‑to‑one and online support, youth services, and community events, while raising awareness and championing better cleft care for all.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Two out of my three children (pictured) were born with clefts.  CLAPA provide invaluable support to parents old and new, when struggling to cope with feeding a new baby with a cleft.

Medical advances in this field and the amazing surgeons make it more difficult now to spot a child with a cleft, but support is still required throughout their young lives helping them to cope with numerous operations and speech difficulties; CLAPA provide this support.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cleft Lip And Palate Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Please do not feel obligated to sponsor me.  Everyone has already been so generous in giving to Cancer Research earlier this year when I ran the Marathon, that it is only in response to a few friends insisting, that I am raising this page.

Thank you for reading this and sponsoring me if you choose to.
