What a HOT but fantastic day 5:05:01 sadly I had to nip off for a pit stop a couple of times - sorry but it was me in the bushes
A big thanks to all my supporters but there is still tim to sponsor DELTA Please do it now you don't need to wait for the next marathon
OK I'm MAD so my children keep saying but what a chance to run my first marathon in what is arguably the world’s most famous, at 70 and a few weeks. Wouldn't you?
Maybe not, but here's an incentive, two friends over a meal whilst working in Valence pledged £50 each on completion of my first marathon, on hearing this on return to the UK two other colleagues pledged the same.
It seems a long time since the rectal cancer was removed, but its only about 18 months and 10 months since I took up running - I have done a 10K, the Bristol Half and the Great North. People have been so generous in sponsoring the various charities and though it has been hard sometimes I really I enjoy running.
So will you make all the winter slog in training worth while by donating to DELTA - it's up to 40 miles a week in all winter weather from now till April. That's got to be worth something even if I never did any more!
As a Trustee, I know that DELTA is in great need of funds, mainly for the Summer Schools and to promote the Natural Aural Approach. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: DELTA (Deaf Education through Listening and Talking) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
