As part of my 50th year, I intend to do an assisted freefall parachute jump (some say do it unassisted!). The jump will be done on Saturday 1st August for charity and this is particularly poignant since the recent sudden death of my best buddy Michael Screeton (Screets) who died suddenly at the age of 50 during a cross country walk in the Derbyshire hills.
My chosen charity is Buxton Mountain Rescue team who worked relentlessly to try to save Mike. They are a voluntary organisation who rely totally on charitable donations.
