Story

Thank you for taking the time to drop in!

As I undertake this major milestone on my journey through life, I would be very pleased if you would support me with your sponsorship in aid of a very good cause, Wessex Children's Hospice Trust (aka Naomi House).  Please note that I have paid for all the costs of my trip myself and no part of any sponsorship money will go towards this.

Without a doubt, this will be my greatest challenge to date, completing this187-km Alpine stage of the Tour de France ahead of the infamous "broom waggon" which will mercilessly sweep up all who fall behind.  In all, there will be 85km of climbing -with the longest single climb being 32km- culminating in the legendary ascent up through the 21 hairpin turns of L'Alpe d'Huez.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wessex Children's Hospice Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I would be very appreciative for your support.  I have set an ambitious fundraising target to match the challenge of the event - and I am going to achieve them both!

Many thanks for your support.

Warmest regards

John
