Welcome to my sponsorship page, hopefully you will see this a few times as you help me raise a huge amount of money for an amazing charity.
You might be asking what am I doing to raise this cash. Well, starting in August 2009 I ran an 85 mile single stage race which took me 22.5 hours!! This was the longest I have ever run in one go. This run was the first of 5 serious ultra marathons which I will be completing over the following 14 months.
This is the list......
Ridgeway 85 - 85 miles in 1 day with 9000 feet of ascent! - Done in 22.5 hours
Himalaya 100 miles - 6 day run/trek through the indian himalayas - Oct 2009 - Successfully completed
MDS - 150 miles through the Sahara over 7 days - March 2010 - Finished 181st out of 1015. Done!
Iceland Ultra - 55km in one day over hills, through ice rivers. Non-stop race - Jul 2010
Jungle Marathon - 135 miles through the Amazon Jungle over 6 days - Oct 2010
So, its now time to start taking my running seriously! The other runs have just been warmups.
My aim is to raise £12,000 which I will do. To help I am personally contributing £5,000 but this is more than just about money. I will also be getting involved in local projects and helping Mencap with the fantastic work they do helping people with learning disabilities.
