Story

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am going to carry out The 3 Peaks Challenge with a couple of friends on Saturday 16th April 2011 where i will attempt to climb and decend Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales within 24 hours.

As this is quite a difficult challenge i will be training hard to ensure that i can complete this challenge.

The reason for me doing this is to raise money for a local Swindon based childrens charity, called CALM who use donations to care for the needs of families within the Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust, who have and had children or young persons dealing with Cancer or Leukaemia. Calm is and always has been run by its parents, patients, their families on a purely voluntary basis, support is also given by medical and other professionals within the community.

CALM holds no offices and no administrative salaries are taken, keeping running costs to an absolute minimum. This ensures all the money and resources available can go to the families and children who need it most.

I am using this Just Giving website as this is a fast and secure way for people to sponser me if they wish to. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks you for reading and for sponsering me this will really help to motivate me.

John
