big bad bike ride · 27 June 2008

10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

Ok

So its the Sunday night following the ride and i can hardly move! I did not do enough training at all.

The weather was okay A great deal of rain but no wind. It was hard. There were some serious hills Well hills is the wrong word these were mountain passes and it was virtually impossible for a fat old guy like me to cycle up [see photo]

but it was beautful and great fun and I raised my target thanks to all of you.

About 130 people did this and we will raise over £100000 so many many thanks to all of you. Your generosity may just help find a cure for this terrible disease

So Its now time to start training for next years event!Possibly in the Alps

Many many thanks again to all of you from me and Ataxia
