I HAVE DONE IT!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!!

All went very well. Please contact me if you want to know more. I summited with Hamish at 0700 on wednesday the 21st May. A tough day. Summit bid started at 1145pm on Tuesday.

I  had a dream of participating in a multi day expedition, preferably mountain, for a long time. And now I have done so, but to make it really worthwhile by raising some money too, was great

I am financing the whole climb personally, all the sponsorship I raise will be going directly to a Smile International project.

The chosen Smile project is the feeding programme in Zimbabwe. Smile currently feeds 680 children per day in three different schools in Harare. Zimbabwe has been much reported on recently in the news and the situation there is very desperate. Smile needs financial help to see that these children continue to receive one good hot meal per day in the coming days, despite the desperation and hopelessness that many are facing at the present time. I saw a feeding program in operation two years ago in Kenya, it was fantastic to see charity in action, and the effect it had on the childrens lives.

 In addition to this, I hope that Smile will be able to put some of the money towards projects in Tapiwa Machumi's community ( a young boy sponsered by my local Church youth).

I have seen Smile's work first-hand in Kosova, they do some great work using local knowledge and people, aiming to spread practical help, love and hope to any in need, whatever there colour or creed.
