Bath Half Marathon · 1 February 2006

The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

All eleven siblings from the Johnson famiy are running in the Bath half marathon.  We are raising money for a charity very close to our hearts - the Sarah Matheson Trust.  Our dear mother who brought all 11 of us into this world has suffered from Multiple System Atrophy (also known as Shy-Drager) for the last 7 years.

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a neurodegenerative disease marked by a combination of symptoms affecting movement, blood pressure, and other body functions; hence the label "multiple system" atrophy. The cause of MSA is unknown as is the cure.

Please give generously.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sarah Matheson Trust for Multiple System Atrophy will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
