Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

We are the largest UK charity that supports people with dyslexia & their families, teachers & employers. We aim to change society by breaking through the barriers and enabling everyone with dyslexia to be acknowledged, accepted and empowered.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. We're back - good grief! Having run my first London Marathon in 2006 in 4 hrs 29 mins we have dusted off the old trainers and decided to do it again!!!

Last time it seemed more likely that Elvis would be found on the moon than that I would finish. This time we are determined to improve our time and raise more money for a good cause. Training has started, Paula has pulled out yet again (running scared!) and there is just less than 2 weeks to go!

Ever since my younger brother James was diagnosed with dyslexia I have supported the British Dyslexia Association. During the 1990's we started and ran the Spellbound Ball, which raised large amounts for the BDA over a number of years. This year please help me raise more, much needed funds for the BDA.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BDA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

John Steel.
