Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Hi,
I am walking from John O'Groats to Lands End in memory of my late wife Sheila, to raise awareness of the work the Cotswold Care Hospice carries out. Who gave great support to my wife and I, When it was most needed. I am also hoping to raise some money to help with the hospices new building which is currently under construction. I plan to leave John O'Groats on the 20th August 2008 covering in the region of 20 miles a day depending on aches, pains and blisters!!! The shortest distance is 874 miles, I intend to avoid 'A' roads where possible, using 'B' roads, canals, footpaths and bridleways. No doubt this will make the distance slightly longer! All being well to arrive at Lands End first week in october. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cotswold Care will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Please donate generously. (every penny counts!) Many thanks for your support. My progress SCOTLAND Day 1. North eastly wind, cloudy with some sun, nice day. Stopped at Wick. Day 2. On top of the amount that has already been donated online, there is still an additional sum which has been received by me personally which will be passed on to the Cotswold Care Hospice in the near future. The total donations will be shown at a later date. I know the donations raised will help the Cotswold Care hospice carry on giving the help and support to those in need. I would like to take this opportunity in Thanking friends for their support and advice, especially all my family who have given me so much help, from being a support crew on the move, computer work at home, obtaining items all of which have made the journey from End to End (John O'Groats to Lands Ends) that much easier than otherwise would have been. To finish I can confirm that they do have more rain up north than down south !! (well they did when I did the walk !!).
