When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I have two motivations to do this bike ride, which takes us over 20 bridges over the Thames in London:

1. To raise money for such a great cause - I have seen the devastating effect a stroke had on my otherwise active, healthy Aunt.

2. I need to protect my own health. Having an event to work towards means I will get much more exercise - even though it can be hard work for someone so unfit!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So, if helping this valuable work seems important to you, or you just like the idea of me suffering, please sponsor me now!

Thank you sooooo much!!

John
